Founded in 1961 by Frank Grimes and Tyler Kerr, G & K Machine Company specializes in the machining and repair requirements of the underground mining industry. Gear manufacturing was an outgrowth of these needs and has become the backbone of our company. Adding computer controlled equipment in the 1980s, we developed into a full service job shop capable of meeting the needs of most industries.

During three generations of family ownership, we have continually updated equipment and facilities to meet the ever-changing manufacturing environment, while never losing sight of the need to provide personal service and quality production. Many of our customer relationships are over 20 years old.

G & K Machine Company can handle anything from replacement key stock to complete gearbox manufacturing, component rebuilding and small to medium production runs. We manufacture gears to sixty inches in diameter, shafts to over twelve feet in length, along with in house inspection, tear down, repair, and reassembly of industrial components.
